  18. V.34+ offers a distictive advantage over plain V.34. It uses lower
  19. symbol rates to make the connection. Lower symbol rates use less phone
  20. bandwidth. Thus, if your phone line supports the 3000 symbol rate,
  21. which will produce a 26,400 connection in V.34, you will connect at
  22. 28,800 with V.34+. On the average V.34+ offers a 2400 - 4800   bps
  23. speed advantage.

  25. Keep in mind you need to connect to a V.34+ USR product and the phone
  26. lines need to support at least the 3200 symbol rate to achieve a
  27. connection over 28,800.

  29. ( FYI - In many cases faulty premise wiring or too many telephonic
  30. devices plugged into the line hamper high speed connections. )
